WineAI Privacy Policy

WineAI helps users log wines, build local taste profiles, and request AI-powered wine advice.

Information we process

• Photos you choose to submit for label scans, menu advice, shelf advice, bottle lookups, or chat attachments.
• Wine details, ratings, notes, taste preferences, and chat requests you enter in the app.
• Delivery address information you save in the app and choose to use for retailer and delivery-related recommendations.
• A stable app-specific user identifier stored on your device and used for billing access.
• Subscription verification data provided by Apple when you purchase or restore WineAI Premium.

How we use information

• To identify wines from submitted photos.
• To generate personalized wine advice from your profile, address, and requests.
• To verify subscription status and enforce free and premium access rules.
• To operate, secure, and improve the app.

Where data is stored

• Your local profiles, preferences, tasting history, saved addresses, and stored label images are kept on your device.
• Submitted photos and request data are sent to the WineAI backend so the requested AI feature can run.
• Billing access records and verified subscription cache are stored on the backend.

Uploaded image retention

• Label scan uploads are retained for up to 1 day.
• Chat and shelf-advice uploads are retained for up to 60 days.
• Menu-advice uploads are retained for up to 90 days.

Sharing

WineAI does not sell your personal data. Data submitted for AI features may be processed by the WineAI backend and the configured AI provider needed to fulfill your request.

Tracking

WineAI does not use the data described here for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Your choices

• You can avoid submitting a photo by using manual wine entry where available.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings.
• You can delete local on-device data by deleting the app.
• Deleting the app does not immediately remove files that were already uploaded to the backend. Those files are deleted according to the retention periods above.
